Construction on the new $9 million pedestrian bridge that will cross the Racoon River began prior to the official groundbreaking on Monday, July 10.

Grant Kvalheim, Chief Executive Officer and President, Athene USA shared, “We’re very excited about the groundbreaking of the Athene Pedestrian Bridge at Raccoon River Park. Athene is proud to be headquartered in West Des Moines and many of our employees live within this community as well. This project helps expand our ability for physical activity.”
